Associate Medical Director - Primary Care Medicine - Lubbock / Amarillo,TX (1009)

Management / Partnership opportunity within an award winning, large Physician owned and managed medical group practice.  Position will manage a team of medical professionals including Physicians, NPs and PAs providing care to patients unable to travel to the group's established clinics (due to their health situation) residing within the City and/or nearby peripheral communities.


This highly regarded, Physician owned, and managed medical group has been successfully practicing for thirty-two years, garnering a large number of awards, both local and national, for medical practice innovation and excellence.

 

While the group is large, with multiple outpatient clinic sites across two states, their practice is geared towards the feel of a smaller group where physicians get to know their patients and have unparalleled support in delivering quality care.

 

The group is multi-specialty with an emphasis on the total healthcare team similar to the renowned model of the Mayo Clinic - highly collaborative between specialists and the primary care outpatient clinical physicians in providing cohesive care to each and every patient.  Their model allows their physicians to practice medicine without distractions – each clinic is supported by a highly competent, dedicated support staff.

 

Great emphasis is placed upon retaining their physicians by insuring a healthy balance between work and personal lives.  Evidence of Job satisfaction is a near zero professional turn-over rate among staff and partners over decades of practice.

 

This Directorship will manage a team of providers seeing patients too ill or unable to come into clinics from home.  The service area is in the peripheral areas around the major metropolitan cities, smaller communities nearby in close proximity.  Duties will include both supervision and direct patient care (as needed) the job is primarily administrative with some patient facing.

 

Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine with a clean record free of malpractice or adverse license actions. a Minimum of two years experience in a managed care clinical environment - particularly Medicare Advantage programs. Outgoing personality and the ability to serve as a Mentor , manage and motivatef accomplished, experienced medical professionals (including other Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with management experience or a superlative track record in practice greater than 5 years.
